Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using SignalBoard.
Last updated: Nov 23, 2025
1. Agreement to Terms
By accessing or using SignalBoard (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not access or use the Service.
These Terms apply to all users of the Service, including without limitation individuals, teams, and organizations who access or use SignalBoard for personal or commercial purposes.
2. About SignalBoard
SignalBoard is a tool that helps you log and track your creative, professional, or business activity (your "signal") over a defined challenge period (for example, 100 days). The Service may include features such as:
- Logging your activities, posts, or work sessions;
- Assigning or viewing points for your logged activity;
- Viewing streaks and other progress metrics;
- Participating in leaderboards, rankings, or public profiles.
SignalBoard does not guarantee any specific outcomes, recognition, income, or results from using the Service. It is a tracking and accountability tool only.
3. Eligibility
You may use the Service only if you are able to form a binding contract under applicable law. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that:
- You are at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction; or
- If you are under 18, you have permission and supervision from a parent or legal guardian who accepts these Terms on your behalf.
If you are using the Service on behalf of a company or organization, you represent and warrant that you have the authority to bind that entity to these Terms.
4. Accounts & Security
To use certain features, you may be required to create an account and provide accurate, current information, including a unique username and valid email address.
By creating an account, you agree that you will:
- Provide accurate and complete information during registration and keep it up to date;
- Maintain the confidentiality of your login credentials and not share your account with others;
- Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account, whether or not you authorized that activity.
5. Public Profiles & Leaderboards
SignalBoard may display certain information publicly, such as:
- Your username and/or business name;
- Your country (if provided);
- Profile logo or avatar (if provided);
- Aggregated stats such as total points, streaks, or recent activity;
- Links you choose to include (for example, a website or social profile).
By using the Service and configuring your profile, you understand and agree that certain information may be visible to other users and, in some cases, to the public (for example, public profiles or public leaderboards).
You are responsible for ensuring that any information you mark as public is appropriate for public display and does not disclose confidential or sensitive data you do not wish to share.
6. Your Content
You may log or submit content to the Service, including text, links, and other data ("User Content").
You retain all rights to your User Content. However, by using the Service, you grant us a limited license to:
- Store, process, and display your User Content in connection with operating the Service;
- Display your User Content in your account, and where applicable, on public profiles or leaderboards according to your settings;
- Use aggregated and anonymized data derived from your usage for analytics, product improvement, or marketing (for example, "users on average logged X signals over 100 days").
You represent and warrant that your User Content does not violate any third-party rights, including privacy, publicity, intellectual property, or contract rights, and that it complies with the Acceptable Use rules below.
7. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Service for any unlawful, harmful, or abusive purposes. Without limiting the generality of the foregoing, you agree not to:
- Use the Service to harass, threaten, defame, or abuse any person;
- Log or share content that is fraudulent, misleading, or deceptive;
- Upload or link to malicious content, including malware or phishing links;
- Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or otherwise access the Service in unauthorized ways;
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service;
- Use automated tools (bots, scripts) to spam logs, artificially inflate stats, or otherwise game the leaderboard.
We reserve the right (but have no obligation) to review, remove, or restrict access to any account or content that we reasonably believe violates these Terms or harms the Service or other users.
8. Plans, Payments & Trials
SignalBoard may offer free access, trials, or paid plans. The specifics of any paid plan (pricing, billing cycle, features, and limits) will be described at the point of purchase or upgrade.
If you sign up for a paid plan, you authorize us (or our payment processor) to charge you the applicable fees using your selected payment method. Fees are generally non-refundable except where required by law or explicitly stated otherwise.
We may change pricing or plan features from time to time, but we will not retroactively charge you higher fees for a period you have already paid for. If you do not agree with a change, you may cancel your paid plan before the next billing cycle.
9. Intellectual Property
The Service, including all software, design, logos, branding, content, and underlying technology (excluding your User Content), is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Service for your personal or internal business use, strictly in accordance with these Terms.
You agree not to copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the Service, nor may you reverse engineer or attempt to extract the source code of any software, except as allowed by applicable law or with our written permission.
10. Privacy
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy (when published), which explains how we collect, use, and protect your data. By using the Service, you consent to the collection and use of information as described there.
Until a separate Privacy Policy is published, we will handle your information in a manner consistent with these Terms and with reasonable industry practices for small online services.
11. Third-Party Links & Services
The Service may include links to third-party websites, tools, or platforms (for example, social media sites or external content you log). We do not control and are not responsible for the content or practices of these third parties.
Your use of third-party services is at your own risk and may be subject to additional terms and privacy policies imposed by those third parties.
12. Disclaimers
The Service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that any data you store or log will be preserved without loss or corruption. You are responsible for keeping your own backups of any critical information.
We do not guarantee any specific business, financial, or professional results from using SignalBoard. Your outcomes depend on your own actions, decisions, and context.
13. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, in no event shall we be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or use, arising out of or in connection with your use of (or inability to use) the Service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claims arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will be limited to the amount you paid (if any) for the Service in the six (6) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or one hundred US dollars (USD $100), whichever is greater.
Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude or limit any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.
14. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless us and our officers, directors, contractors, and affiliates from and against any and all claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of:
- Your access to or use of the Service;
- Your User Content;
- Your violation of these Terms; or
- Your violation of any third-party rights.
15. Suspension & Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time if we reasonably believe that you have violated these Terms, pose a risk to the Service or other users, or if we discontinue the Service.
You may stop using the Service at any time. If you choose to cancel a paid plan (if applicable), it will typically remain active until the end of the current billing period, unless stated otherwise at the time of purchase.
16. Changes to the Service or Terms
We may update the Service from time to time, including adding, changing, or removing features.
We may also update these Terms periodically. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. If a change is material, we may provide additional notice (for example, via email or an in-app notification).
By continuing to use the Service after any changes become effective, you agree to be bound by the updated Terms. If you do not agree, you must stop using the Service.
17. Governing Law
These Terms and your use of the Service will be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which SignalBoard is primarily operated, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
